Parent Infant Outreach Program For Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The Parent Infant Outreach program provides services to hearing impaired children birth to age three, living in Virginia, west of Interstate 95, at no cost . The program is staffed by these highly trained and experienced professionals:
- Casey Morehouse, Educational Audiologist
The following services are available:
- Professional expertise in hearing impairment, child development, and parent infant education.
- Educational and pediatric audiology
- Comprehensive diagnostic and evaluation services
- Exploration of all communication modalities
- Expertise in assistive technology and amplification
- Support services for parents with a hearing loss
- Monitoring of children with a family history of hearing impairment or middle pathology
- Transition planning
- Typically, these parent infant services are provided in the home on an as needed basis determined by the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Coordination of all services with local Parent Infant Programs and Babies Can't Wait
